DESCRIPTION:

The MICRO-BURNER System 512 is a microcomputer controlled programmer specifically designed for high reliability and easy use. It contains 64 Kbytes of static RAM. The MICRO-BURNER has built-in power-on self diagnostic, reverse EPROM detection & protection and real-time analog voltage monitoring of the internal programming voltages. It automatically configures itself to the installed adapter module. The MICRO-BURNER automatically detects when a Host is connected and allows full performance operation from the Host which is supported by a comprehensive context-sensitive Help Menu. The Host may be installed or removed at any time without affecting operation.

The MICRO-BURNER's stand-alone operation allows EPROM/MICRO Read/Verify/Copy operation for fast uncomplicated duplication tasks. Its small size and low power consumption allow operation from an AC/DC Adapter or External 12 volt Battery Pack for domestic and international use.

OPERATION:

The MICRO-BURNER can operate stand alone or with a Host Computer. STAND-ALONE operation is achieved via 3 push buttons on the front panel.

The READ button copies data from the device plugged into the adapter module into the internal RAM.

The VERIFY button compares the data in RAM to that in the device. Reading an empty module and verifying a real device provides a BLANK check capability.

The PROGRAM button burns the data from the internal RAM into the external device. An automatic "verify" is performed both during programming and upon completion.

The HOST operation is achieved via an RS232 serial cable from the MICRO-BURNER to the Host computer.

The BAUD rate is selected via DIP switches at the rear. A comprehensive on-screen menu provides sufficient information for inexperienced personnel to operate the MICRO BURNER without having to refer to the instruction manual.
